About?.. What do you mean "About"?
Well, in short, my name is Adam, and I put together this site out of a love for Linux Fortune cookies. I got my first Unix account in university and I was immediatley hooked. It was shortly after I discovered the fortune program for the first time, and the affect was as equally fixating. I would login to work on some of my course projects, and end up spending most of my time reading fortune cookies.
Unfortunetly not everyone knows the joys of a Unix account, and fewer still have an flavour of Linux on their home computer, so I have created this site to allow people to get their fortune cookie fix via the web. Nifty, huh? :)
I also thought it would a nice idea to add a browse and search function to the site, so that you can read all the fortune cookies, or search for fortune cookies containing a given keyword. Visitors also have the option of submitting their own pieces of wisdom and wit if they have something they feel would make a good fortune cookie. Doesn't it give you the warm fuzzies? :)
The fortune cookie database was popoulated by the fortune programs datafiles, which means the you can see all the fortune cookie as you would with a Linux terminal.
